Jim Alkire takes the viewer on a windjammer voyage through the eyes of a small child named” Abby.”  The art of black and white photography along with the text will give children and adults a chance to observe, read and experience the adventure.

 The Art of Photography
 

A six week introduction to photography class, The Art of Photography, will be held at Duncan Hall on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, beginning May 13. Award winning photographer, Jim Alkire, will teach composition, lighting, and the art of seeing using digital or film, color or black and white.

Emphasis will be on classic silver or gelatin prints (black and white) the most beautiful of all photography in Alkire’s opinion.

Attend this class and learn how to make money with your photography without owning a studio.

The fee for the class, $60.00 for the six weeks, will go to support Duncan Hall preservation and programs. Class enrollment is limited. To reserve your space in the class please call (765) 742-4788.
